Valuing Time

Time is money? The more productive you can make each minute of the day the
more you will make on the return of your invested effort. Being smart about the
way you work within the hours you give will also set you apart. Focus on a core
goal without distraction, practice and start saying no more than yes. It is not
easy but most certainly more profitable. How rigorous are you at saying no to
the things that you know cannot add value to your business development goals.
How often do you calculate the return on your time investment and what you
need to achieve in order to get profitable payback.

Of course sometimes as you build you need to speculate to accumulate.
Nevertheless if you do not prioritise the opportunities to network, target your
intentions in that time and also plan how you tackle different opportunities.

Do you order each day the top priority activities you have to undertake? Do you
swallow that frog and get done the tough thing you know you must to unblock
potential of the day ahead? Giving yourself a reward for early achievements
do you set small personal treats to maintain momentum in small ways…Dolly
mixtures can work on one day whilst on another you celebrate with a far greater
reward?

Albeit every penny of reinvestment in your company growth will all boost
momentum it is also important you look after you and your own drive. Rarely
will the lonely leader find praise from the ranks upwards, marvellous when
it comes you do have to accept that your role will set you apart. Find others
with whom you can share your experiences and halve problems through forum
discussions – self-development costs through joining an enterprise club or
organization is an important part of your own continued personal growth.

Do the maths, stop being British about meeting people, plan where you go and
whom you need to meet, spend really valuable time trying to tackle big and
important new clients whom could transform the potential of your business. Be
bolder than you have previously dared and then celebrate your success, next
time aim higher and bigger yet again.
